Performed FW dip (Now fish lying on side)

Well I hope by now you've got him out. Most fish I have dipped went to their sides pretty quick. I usually stir the water up a little to keep him moving. My first FWD was scary but the fish survived so I was happy I did it. Let us know how it turned out.

No I took him out of the FW dip after three minutes. He went on his side in the salt water. Now he is in his QT tank and just got a dose of Mardel's Copper med. He is no longer on his side.

My next question:

How to use this med. One dose once only? Remove carbon? It staes to keep filtration going.

Cant help you with that one Chris. Never used the stuff. It almost sounds like a preventitive med instead of an actual treatment med. I can tell you though that I noticed a number of members here will only use Cupramine. It's suppose to work really well.

Good luck :)

???? Assume this is the same fish/problem you are discussing on the other thread. I know having sick fish is often a frustrating event but you may find that you get better help by keeping to one thread ... makes it easier to follow the issue which can facilitate help.

Remove carbon, run filter empty or you can put some mechanical filter in
Are you using Coppersafe? If so, you may have a hard time finding a test kit. Dose exactly as directed, do large DAILY water changes....make sure you know exactly how much water you are replacing and dose the new water as directed per gallon on the instructions. Check around for test kits, they must be for Chelated copper

How often should the water changes be? After every water change I should add the proper dosage?

This morning the fish looks like it has more fuzzy stuff.
