Petco Gigantea

At least the PVC keep the large Gigantea from completely shade the smaller one. It look like he was able to poke his face out at the bottom of the PVC pipe. I pile on a few medium rock there, hope he will either climb on to the rock or the PVC. This way I can move him from under the larger Gigantea,

Well, after about 8 hrs, the PVC did not really help my anemone do what I wanted it to do, but it is still a good thing to do. It block the larger Gigantea well enough so that my little guy can peek his face out into the light and current. He looks well. I pile a medium size rock there hoping that he will move to this smooth rock. At least he will do well like this, even if the look of the tank is not great.

Nice! Boy, I'll second, jackpot! Nice score! Best of luck! I know they are in the best hands possible! Please update to keep good record... :) who cares if the "look" of the tank isn't that great... us anemone addicts don't care about tank looks... :) except for the anemone...

I took a picture when I did the water change this evening. I am very happy that at least my small Gigantea is able to get some light. He looks good. I think I will feed him again this evening after the light turn out.

I knew they will pull through... Petco gigs are hardier plus it does take someone who knows what they are doing to keep these animal healthy and happy. Great job.

This is my last update for a while. All three are doing very well. The one that is shaded have not budge. I have to keep the larger Gigantea from slowly kill him with a PVC pipe.

This is an update of the Petco Gig that I have in my large holding tank with the two large Gigs. All three of the Petco Gigs are doing well.
My expensive Elegance melted away. I just cannot keep Elegance alive, I am not sure why.

Minh, perhaps the flow used to keep gigs isn't beneficial to true lagoon/seagrass bed corals like elegance corals.

Thanks Winwood. I got the Elegance in a low flow low light system. It receding so I had to try something else. It did not improve when I got it to where it is right now. It did not help.

Update on my anemones. I am very happy with he placement now. The width of the tank is 30 inches and the two anemones span the width of it. The new Petco anemone is right in front.

The second picture show the other two anemones in my QT. All are doing very well and appear as healthy and shaggy as any Gigantea.
