Petco Gigantea

taylor,
Below are two of the original Petco Gigantea. I trade one for a light.
The other two are my new Petco Gigantea tonight right after I change 50% of the water and add Cipro.
I even got them to separate coffee mug.
The second one got shaded in my holding tank. Too many Gigantea. I got a little light but since I got my 320 gal DT up and got him in there he is looking really nice.

The two new Gigantea are doing really well. Mouth all close up and stiff and everything. I will stop antibiotic Tuesday (7 days of treatment) and keep them in the HT for the rest of the week. Transfer them to DT over the weekend. That is my plan.

With Cipro I am 5 for 5 Gigantea from Petco. I posted the Cipro thread about 1 year ago. I really am glad that Cipro help save a lot of anemones.

About my Gigantea count, I forgot to count the Gigantea I got at my office, in a 65 g tank.
Here is a picture of the tank.
My phone picture got this band of color on it when I take picture of this tank. I am not sure why and cannot do anything about it.

I lost fish now and then, but not often. Most of the time the fish got scare from something that I did and spook into the anemone. Rarely they got careless and wander into the anemone. I cover the anemone when I do something major to the tank.
IMO, dim light slowly at night is also important in keeping fish safe.

HAHAHA.. And lost of lightning at odd ball times right?? OOps.. I thoguht we were trying to feed the anemone...

That is strange about the color band when taking pictures.

Picture from this AM. Tonight is the last night of antibiotic. Tomorrow night I will do a 100% water change and will see from there. These two guys have not deflated except for the first day. No discharge at all. When I do water change I just suck a few strand of mucus here and there stuck on the screen only.

Looking really nice.

I wont be home today until later, not all of us have a holiday like 'you' people do. HAHAHAHA

So I will have to be an outsider and see from afar, today.

Yours are looking good and do seem to be recovering.

I have done a few 100% changes, with water, and think it has really helped in it's health.

I think we need to look at the cirpo thread some and put some guidelines for light either on PAR readings or even on just a % aspect.

Here is to your's and mine's good health.

BTW.. Mine does not care for the coffee cup. Firmly attached to the bottom. Any recommendations on that for moving?

Bottom of the HT is OK but you will stress him a little when you try to move him later.
I don't have a holiday. Working right now and won't get home until late today. I don't have the cam on them like you do on your's

Yeah.... I was hoping to avoid any additional stress. Maybe if I put a shot glass in there it will be happier, it might be like me and not like coffee.

Maybe changing the flow pattern will help it move toward the cup instead. I do not think ti has even touched the cup, so I cold put some LR in there and let it feel it. Maybe the texture will make it happier. (as if it had a brain)

There was another Carpet last week when I got these two. Also small but look like a greenish Haddoni so I did not get him. He did not make it :(. I wish I have the room for him

I just treat the HT with the last dose of Cipro. Tomorrow will do a 100% water change to remove all antibiotic and will observe the two for a few days. If they continue to do well I will put them into my DT. I did not take picture of them other than this AM above.

Hummm.... Mine has had nice open and no shrinkage. (well I am uploading the video, I always look through it all the way (got kids ya know...) and I do not remember any.)

I know you are a day ahead of mine. I might do another day of cipro and try a no-cipro day and see how it does.

What do you think?

My two Gigantea seem to be ahead of schedule. Don't deflates at all. Your seem to deflates the day before yesterday. I would treat him for at least 3 days after he deflates. No Cipro days will let you know if his infection was completely treated. I needed that since there will be 4 Gigantea in the tank he is going to, and one Haddoni. Don't want to get the rest of my anemone sick too.

Here are some picture from this AM, one night without antibiotic.
