Petco Gigantea

Well that explains it.

Can you get us a pic with the lights on?
It has turned green. Normal for a bleached gig from what I've read on this forum. THE most sensitive marine animal I've ever owned. Whether it's a tiny light or flow adjustment the anemone lets me know it can feel it. Lol 😃

Thank you! 😀. Is there a number we can put on the flow rate a gig needs? For example is 20x turnover rate enough or is 30 better?

But it was a moody anemone...like all gigs. Not sure I will try one again unless I have a very large system (240+) to give it the space it needs. There's a good article about gigs written my Quality Marine suggesting gigs should be housed in species only tank. I think it's a good idea.

care to explain a little on the "moody" part?

I would love to try one down the line. Also will be needing to upgrade this 100gal. never too early to plan.

It can look decent in the morning and deflate in the afternoon. Then the anemone will look like it's dying only to look inflated again. Due to failure to success ratio based on experiences on this forum and others I am inclined to think that this particular specimen is best left in the ocean notwithstanding ones "expert" level in reef aquaria.
