I have gone to 3 different Petco stores and seen anemones labeled stichodactyla gigantea. They all look like the one in the photos I have uploaded. Is this really a stichodactyla gigantea?
Thanks, in one of the stores the nem actually had some green in the tentacles the other looked brownish and retracted. The brownish one was being harassed by a clown fish that appeared to be larger than the nem.
Aside from being badly bleached the mouth (from the side in the first photo anyways) and overall inflation look ok. I've brought a gig back from being in worse shape via ciprofloxacin treatment, but he wasn't as bleached as the one from petco.
Looks pretty healthy aside from obviously being totally bleached. I would have probably grabbed it to try to save. If it has been in the store that long and not deflating I think it may not even need cipro.
