I know that most of the petco's in the area have done away with there saltwater sections, but i wanted to try to compile a list of known stores with saltwater livestock.

So please list the location and stock summary

Waynesburg-Ora frag tank. Nice selection of corals inverts and fish. One of the healthiest looking petco's i have seen

The only petco's i have ever been into have always seemed a disgrace to our hobby with the poor health and quality of the tanks/ livestock. I would consider more appropriate stores like aquaworld, elmers, or daves aquastock- at least with those you know that you can expect a much longer/ higher outlook of the livestock you purchase.

I have gotten a few gems in the last 12 years from some petcos. you just have to know what you are looking at to determine the health. If you would see the petco in waynesburg it would really change your mind. and i wish they would run all of there stores this way. I do purchase almost all of my fish and corsl from Jeff at aquaworld,
I travel alot for work and would always love another place to stop in and see what they have

I got a beautiful blonde naso tang at the one in the Waterfront last year. Robinson had saltwater and so did the one near South Hills village. That being said, you take a risk because they are not always healthy. I got lucky with the blondie though.

My petco usually has bubble coral, and long tentacle anemone's..both which look terrible under their florescent bulbs..

Petco in Ross on Mcknight has a saltwater section. They have some fish and occasionally shrimp and corals. They have had condy anemone and maybe some mushrooms the couple times I have looked.

The Mcknight road store did have some mushrooms a few weeks ago but they were brown and shriveled. They looked like weren't going to last very long. Do they even use RO water when they do water changes? I never thought to find that out.

my mistake its not waynesburg. it is morgantown. too much traveling last week

i couldnt find a waynesburg one on petco store locator..I only saw one in washington

Where are you at acanlover? The WashPa store is pretty nice. They have healty fish from what we've always seen. In the coral dept. it's pretty much 'shrooms on an occasion though.:)

Another Pittsburgh area Petco that has a saltwater section is the Greensburg store.

A lot of common coral and fish but from memory i think they have at least a dozen tanks dedicated to saltwater. Most of the fish there actually looked in decent shape the last time i was there.

I have never purchased a saltwater fish from Petco but I always look when we stop in Petco to get dog food.
