How 'bout some comparison pics between T5 and MH? :)

Will do. I'll dig through my pictures and post a few. I'm not sure that my camera skills will do justice, but suffice to say, there is quite a difference when you're sitting in front of the tank.

Good stuff Mr.Kelly. Sorry that the tank viewing caused you more work  I really liked my maristar when I used mine in the past. The reflectors in them are pretty good for a fixture.

When does it not? ;) For a fixture, yes, I'm very happy. I need to build a small shield on the front edge, like the Aquamedic fixtures have to keep the light out of my eyes when sitting on the couch. The one other big change I've noticed, is that the tank no longer is a towering bohemoth (sp?) in the room, without the canopy, and access to teh overflows, etc is GREAT! It is not a set of lumenmax elites, or lumenarc III or lumenbrights, but it has a sleek look to it that you cannot get with a canopy.

I had the opportunity (no, pleasure) to go tank touring and fish shopping with Tony Vargas last weekend. Tony helped me pick out this Carpenter Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri). It's been hiding until very recently, so here is the first decent picture I've been able to snap.

That is a beautiful fish and a great picture nice job!

Pete, your build has been coming together VERY nicely. I'm sooo jealous! Hopefully one day I'll have a tank like the one you're putting together. Keep up the good work man! Oh, and lay off the Johnnie Walker, it's all about Single Barrel Jack Daniels!!! ;)

pete, are you using 1/4" r/o tubing from your containers to the dosing pump and from the dosing pump to the tank?

yes

No problem Kenny, just make sure that the tube on the inside is shoved into the bulkhead ALL the way. If there is any air gap at all, the LMIII can't draw the fluid out of the container, it just sucks air. I found out the hard way.

Great looking tank! Have not had a lot of time to look at the large tank forum for a couple months and got a good laugh out of the gantt chart listed for your tank. I guess we should start a new certification on RC, reef PMP? Anyways, tank looks great and good luck!

looks great.... but Im sad to see you bailed on the T5's : ( Thats only because I love T5's though. Youre doing a great job!

WOW! This took me 2 days to get throught the whole thread...but, I must admit I skipped most people's comments and looked for posts with the pics in them!! :lol2:

Regardless, this is a great build...very nice...
