Thanks Marc
not the worse flight I've been on but I was tired to start with, got home at midnight
I am selling frags thyis weekend as a fund raiser for my daughter. I was to cutting 2 pieces of my Leng Sy with a knife (found it's a good way to take frangs from monte plates) when the whole thing comes loose. I ended up with 5 frags, no biggy people want this so just more money for the fund raiser. So, as I was blindly fishing out the frags, my wife was acting as my eyes on the front side of the tank.
Some how in the process the large Chips Acro fell over and when I went to set it back in place the Blob started to fall forward. I guess the weight from growth made the whole set of corals precariously balanced, and the slight movement sent them both almost over the edge.
So here I am with my arm in the tank up to my arm pit holding both corals with one hand trying to get them to stabilize without breaking or dropping them. After 4-5 attempts, I think they are stable enough, so out came the chips. The problem was the Chips was holding down the back side of the Blob so it was trying to teter off the ledge when the Chips was moved.
After the Chips was out I shoved the Blob back on the rock shelf rock a bit further. I had to move the Leng Sy and an Orange monte plate over a bit to do so. With the Blob and Leng Sy repositioned back goes the Chips Acro. Fortunately no major breaks. The whole time my wife is on the other side of the tank in a state of near panic (I'm hearing all kinds of; "Oh No's", "look out" etc) just waiting for something to crash and break into 50 pieces.
And so ended another adventure in the life of a reef nut.
