Just got this email, may be old news as I am not on here much right now. Or maybe this is not related to Don? Somehow came through via the old mailing list.

Hello everyone,

As a former employee of Pets Inc in Tempe I wanted to let you know that we are opening The Pet Shop in Mesa Arizona in the next couple of weeks.Some of Pets Inc wonderful staff will be accompanying us at our new shop. We will be located off of US 60 and Power Rd just South of Baseline. Please see below for our information and we will keep everyone posted on our Grand Opening date. We will be a Dog & Cat Food & Supplies, Small Mammals, Reptiles, Feeders, Freshwater Fish, Saltwater Fish Corals, Food & Supplies and more. We look forward to seeing you at The Pet Shop.
 
Another shop in the east valley??? Seriously.... why can't they have one on the west valley!!! Racist i tell you!

No clue, just appeared in my email. Total surprise. Will see what it really is, I may have jumped the gun by saying it is pets inc re-opening as it reads like former employees are opening it?
 
i think it is tony and someone else opening it up i ran into him in a burger shop right by there called durger dog exclenent hamburgers btw, from what i understand it is not related to pets inc.
 
As a former Pets Inc Employee I can tell you that this store will not have anything to do with the former store other than utilizing the Pets Inc email list. Don is retired. This store is owned by a former employee and as stated in the email, some other former employees of Pets Inc will join them but I do not know who.

I'm on the list and didn't get this so thanks for sharing.

I am glad to hear this for a couple of reasons. First it's a second store in the east valley. That means I will have two stores within just a few miles of me. Second is because I hope they will at least have some of the unique livestock choices common to Pets Inc.

They do have a PetCo that will either be in the same location or right across the street so they will have some competition for the small pet stuff but it's not much in the marine area so that shouldn't cause them concern.

I don't know if it's too much to ask that it will at least be somewhat the same as the old store but I can always hope.
 
I was getting a Bahama Buck's with the family tonight and found the Pet Shop a couple doors down. It's great for me. 4 miles from my house. AA is 21 miles. So...much better.

They had the windows papered over but I could see in some. It's going to be a lot like the old store in terms of lots of shelf space for retail stuff. It looks nice. I'm excited. It will certainly be nice for me. I hope they stay open late like the old store did. That's a bonus.
