pfo halide ballast question please help asap.

I have a dual 250 w pfo ballast and im looking at using the german radium bulbs but it says I need to have "*Requires HQI ballast, electronic ballast or pulse start ballasts to work properly"
Are the PFO ballasts the type that these bulbs will light? with what I have? Im thinking I have a probe start ballast and the bulbs will not light, does anyone know if the radiums will light and stay lit under the correct spectrum under the probe start?

I have a dual 250W PFO ballast that I run Radium on, but it is a pulse start. If it does not say on the outside what the ballast is, just open it up and see what is written on the parts. There will be a mfg and you can call direct, or just post what you find when you take the cover off. a probe start will not work properly.
