pfo mh mogul socket problem

175w xm 10000 bulbs, whole unit 1 month old,left side is yellow,switch bulbs over still yellow,put bulbs back, switch socket plugs on ballast left side still yellow. had supplier send new ballast still yellow, got to be the socket but how to check, thanks for any help Spite
