PFO Parallel Reflector Question

I recived my order from Marine Depot yesterday and one of the items was a 36" PFO Parallel Reflector. The holes where the mogul sockets mount are just open holes. I was under the assumption that covering came with these. I called customer service and was told they don't come with the reflector and are not available. Why does the PFO website show these with the reflector?

Also, how long does it normally take for an item to be drop shipped from the manufacturer? I'm supposed to be recieving a mogul socket directly from PFO.

On a different rant, maybe you should switch to FedEx or not put fragile on boxes going via UPS. My box was torn and crushed. The reflector had a huge dent in the side of it (which I was able to push back out some) and all four corners were curled. I've straightened them to the best of my ability but I was pi$$ed at the delivery.

Other than that, the shipping was extremelly fast, I recieved and email stating the mogul would be drop shipped and it took me about 10 min. to cut through all the bubble wrap:eek2: I will do business with you again, but I was rather stumped about the reflector socket coverings:confused:

Keep up the good work guys:smokin:

Hi Bret,

Thank you for shopping with us. In regards to the PFO reflectors, we have never received any with covers in the time that I have been here. We have special-ordered them from a couple of customers, but it is not a standard part. If you would like us to order a couple for you, please let me know.

As for the drop-shipped item, it is already on its way. I have also emailed you the tracking number for the shipment. PFO is usually quite fast.

In regards to the shipping, we actually shipped with FedEx for about 2 months last year and have found UPS Ground to be better (in terms of lost, late and damaged packages). We do try and package the items the best we can, but sometimes it can get banged up tumbling around with all the large and heavy boxes at the distribution centers. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
Joseph

Thanks for the update on the mogul socket. I, by no means, am mad at Marine Depot. I think PFO should not show the reflectors with the covers on the website and not have the individual covers listed as a part. The shipping part is UPS's problem. Everything in the box was very very well wrapped, with the Reflector being the exception. It got banged up pretty good, but it still will serve it's purpose. I'm going to have to start taking pictures of packages I recieve from both UPS and FedEx for my own records.

Thanks again, I'll be placing another order in the very near future;)
