Ph controller Question

I just bought a milwaukee ph controller and it says to set it were you want your ph to stop at , according to the controller my ph is 7.8 and if i set the controller to around 8+ it turns the calcium reactor off , why is this. If i set it lower it turns back on

I set mine to turn on at 6.8 and off at 6.7, i havent looked at the dial to see what the knob is pointing at i just use the display and the alarm light.

you want to set it low so it can lower the Ph. it will turn off at the low Ph and turn on when it gets too high from the feed water. there is a variance between low and hi so set it where it works the best.

i just looked over his again, and im curious by what you mean when you say it turns the reactor off. the big black box on the ph monitor should be plugged into the wall and the solenoid on the co2 regulator plugs into that. it sounds like you have the reactor pump plugged into it or maybe the feed pump? everything but the co2 should be running 24/7.
