Hi there! I just found your thread and look forward to reading through it! I just have to say, what a great photo. Convict Gobies (?) are really cool fish, and I just adore Skunk Cleaners. I currently have in my 29g FOWLR, and will be upgrading to a 125g soon. :lol2:
Thanks! It's a chainlink eel actually, a goby wouldn't have satisfied me I'm afraid to say. I have 2 skunk cleaners in the tank and typically they hang out behind the rocks with Alcatraz. Hope you find something useful, that's the reason I keep this thread going and to show the progress/maturity of my DT.
The other day I broke 1 of the no/do not do's I set in place before getting back in this hobby. I didn't QT a fish before adding to my DT (I did research on my phone and looked on here before getting). The pylei in QT started picking on the carpenters flasher wrasse within minutes of going in. I knew at that point I had to move and yup you guessed it right to the DT it went. Crazy thing happened the red firefish had been chasing the purple if the purple came out, unless under the blues/night when the red would go to bed. But that has stopped as the wrasse plays referee and stays between. Wish I would have had the extra 10 setup that I had taken down at that moment but lesson learned and I'm hoping not the hard way. Also I'm going to wait to buy no matter what or until what I have in QT goes all the way through.

With a final stock list done I could use help on when to add as I might be waiting until the other hemisphere starts coming more back in for some additions:
In DT:
Chainlink eel, red and purple firefish, carpenters flasher wrasse, 2 skunk cleaner shrimp. Cirrhilabrus pylei in QT.
Want:
A pair of clowns
A combo of Bluehead fairy wrasse and pink margin fairy wrasse
A squaretail Bristletooth tang
If possible:
Another fairy? Or reef safe wrasse? Other type of fish not on my list if not maxed.
Would it be ok to get a pair of juvenile clowns and add them to QT and have them as next addition?
Should I wait to add the pylei until I have the other wrasses?
Since my last mess up with the wrasses I've gone to getting 1-2 fish through QT before adding more.

So today marked the 1st time I've tested for phosphate, dkh, calcium, and nitrate. Ph was also tested but I have taken in to get tested in the past. Have some issues needless to say:
Ph: 8.4
Calcium: 460
Dkh: 13
Phosphate: 2.0
Nitrate: 0
Would adding some caulerpa prolifera help reduce the phosphates?
Likely culprit for high dkh is a ph buffer I had added?

Today our household welcomed a Cirrhilabrus Rubrimarginatus and a Cirrhilabrus Cyanopleura. They are settling in nice and eating already. The Rubrimarginatus is a good size compared to the Cyanopleura but doesn't mind it trailing behind or being beside. The color on both is astonishing and they will compliment the tank well.
I've become a big fan of fairy and flasher wrasses.

I love Fairy and Flasher Wrasses too: great color variety!
I wanted some I don't see much, the LFS that ordered said they were a first of their type for them.
Well cleaner shrimp/any type of shrimp is a no no. I knew the chance but lesson learned. After stocking, the 20 will be a more friendlier shrimp tank. Alcatraz got 1 of the cleaners and what ticked me off the most is his tail threw it up...arrrrr. The life of an eel owner, gotta love em.
