phosban reactor question

ok i installed my phosban reactor going from my sump into my tank return i thought it would do better this way. its a bottom drilled tank 75 gallon.

my question is do i need more water flow through my reactor? i do see some videos where the media is flowing a lot more and mine is moving just a little.

im running a MJ1200 pump/powerhead in pump mode. i saw on the website they where selling it with a MJ600 so i thought the 1200 would be more than enough (i already had it as a back up) so should i lower it to pump from my sump back into my sump? right now its a 3-3.5 foot raise from my sump to my tank.

or just give it a few days and test the phos level and see if its working as is?

also im running pura phoslock using about 12 tbs of product.

All the flow is on one side not sure if that's normal. It doesn't seem right but I have no idea. I get mine in the mail Monday. This will be my first set up as well. I would have just had it all going in the sump but that's just me you don't have to do it that way.

ok moved it from my tank back into the sump so from sump to sump its flowing a lot more. not as much as i think a 1200 should. but the movement in the reactor is twice as much aa full ripple on top if the media

i saw that video you posted guy kinda seemed to know less then i do lol. i mean all his phosban was stuck on the top half lol

and thats a whole lot of phosban. from what the direction on the can says to use

I'm putting mine on the back of the tank till I'm done making the sump. I've seen a few videos. They all have the movement set up about the way he did. Yeah it's says on the back of this stuff you need very little of it but yet a lot of people seem to fill the reactor 1/2 full which a lot of times is way more then what they say to use.

Recommended Usage: 50 g per 50 gal (200 l) saltwater, 50 g per 100 gal freshwater. PhosBan is safe and can be used at more than 5 times the recommended usage quantity, but at high dosages, it can cause a drop in alkalinity. Monitor alkalinity and correct if necessary with buffer or other alkalinity supplements. The useful life of PhosBan depends on the phosphate concentration in the aquarium. PhosBan can be effective for up to several months before it needs to be changed. Replace PhosBan when phosphate levels begin to rise.
Contents: Synthetic ferrous oxide hydroxide.

ya i will be keeping an eye on my levels i will post more on how it goes. will test phos tomorrow to see if there has been any change and make daily tests.
