Hello,
Anyone using the following or know anything about it?:

Its a light blue in color unlike other liquid PO4 removers.

Maybe we should ask for a sample for the club and test it with the water samples we bring to the meeting using the meter?

Hey Joe, I've never used the product ( very skeptical of any instant remover of any unwanted substance) but at the Central Pet headquarters here in Tampa they have a section in will call that has stuff they are looking to move out really cheap ( scratch and dent, discontinued, outdated, whatever) well they had cases of the stuff for pennies on the dollar. Not sure what that means, but it could just be a really slow mover, or Snake oil

If i remember right I think it is supposed to bind the phosphate in a precipitate and get removed via mechanical correction. But I could be making that up so don't quote me.

Yup, you're correct. I have played with Lanthanum chloride to do the same thing, but the jury is still out on any possible long term problems of using LaCl2 to ppt. out PO4's.
