Photo editing programs

I'm looking to get a photo editing program, and just wanted to see what everyone else is using and what you like and why. Currently I have Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and I like it so far I only have the free 30 day trial and before I spend the money on it I just wanted to hear others opinions on what they use and like. And if you use more than one program and why.

I've use PS Elements for a long time and have messed around with Gimp. Elements is surprisingly well stocked with features. I thought I'd get envious of the full blown photoshop, but I never got there--it does pretty much everything I've been able to think of. Both of those are geared towards handing one photo at a time. I've come to not like PSE's cataloging system now that I have a gazillion images.

Gimp has a pretty good set of features. It's a little light on tools for reducing noise (from what I've been able to figure out). The manual for it is also a little sparse. But it can sure do a lot of stuff for free.

I've gone to Lightroom for everyday use. It's very nice to be able to process in a batch.

I have Photoshop CS2 and Aperture 2. I mostly use Aperture 2 however I recently purchased a new camera and the RAW files are not supported. Adobe Lightroom is a very similar product and I think it is a bit quicker to support the new cameras as they come out. In a couple months I expect Aperture to support the new camera.
