im trying to use my camera instead of my cell to try and get better pics. the camera is a Kodak easyshare dx 6490.
its 4mp and has a 10x zoom. its a physical zoom with a lens that comes out if that makes a difference.
on the manual setting (PASM mode) I have white balance control which consists of modes auto, daylight, tungsten, and florescent.
I have iso speed control which is iso 80,100, 200, 400, and 800 (has good with star next to it).
color mode which has saturated, neutral, black and white, as well as sepia.
exposure metering which has multi pattern, center weight, and center spot for options
focus zone which has multi zone and center zone
sharpness with sharp standard or soft
it also has a few modes like portrait, general, sport, and night. but those settings are preset I believe and I cant seem to change them. it also has a macro button on the top as well as a flash. I know its not easy to give advice on picture taking without the camera. im hoping with the detail I gave I can figure out a starting point. right now my pics are either washed out with blue really bad or just horrible. a new camera isn't in the budget for a while so I hope I can figure out what im doing wrong.
I was using the general setting in auto mode with the macro button on and no flash. I also dark out the rest of the room. ive messed with the white balance but cant seem to make a difference with the camera. very frustrating because my exs cell takes awesome pics and mine is far from it lol.:headwallblue:
