COMAS Rocks!
As many of you know, I keep trying to get as many good pics of my tank as i can, since I don't own a camera of my own yet. I managed to borrow my little brothers camera and have been using that to post recent pics of my bangaii babies and corals and whatnot. Well, what you don't see are the dozens upon dozens of photos that get deleted because my stupid male bangaii likes to pose for the camera. I'll get all zoomed in, picture nice and clear, the object of my photo looking just right and sitting still for once, and right as I'm about to click the button, here comes this bangaii, he even tries to be smooth about it, just kinda slides his way in front of the lens. Over and over and over again! What gives!

All my other fish get right in my face when I'm staring at the tank, but the bangaii (male), he runs and hides. but when I get the camera out, everybody else runs and hides and he comes slithering in front of the lens with that smirk on his face!

Some fish see the camera as a new object and they investigate, others see a new object that might eat them...Get the fish used to the camera beeing close. Back when I had my tanks at the shop I put my camera right next to the tank where all the fish could see it and left it there for quite some time. That way when it was time for a pic the fish were used to it not eating them or beeing new around the tank. Try it, may work for you.

lol, my concern wasn't getting them used to the camera, it was getting the male bangaii to get out from in front of the camera. But that is a good piece of info to know. and as i mentioned in previous replies, it's not that he's used to the camera, it's more like he wants to be in front of it. i think he's going to be a fish model when he grows up. maybe I can get him a sponsor?

Adam,

He probaly just investigating the camera. If he is used to it beeing around he might not get in front of it as often.

funny, he'll investigate the camera at him, but he wouldn't investigate the fish trap i put in there. (honestly, I think he's a super smart breed of fish, and he's toying with my brain!)
