You are thinking of their rotifers for $6/ portion.

I have done the same thing. I used about 4 ounces of DT's in a 2 liter bottle. It grew for me with no problem. You can also buy specific species starter cultures from Florida Aqua Farms.

Use the instant algae from reeds mariculture. IMO 100 times better then dt's green water. I use shellfish diet but theres also phyto feast to that comes in smaller bottles.
It beats growing your own phyto hands down.

It's like a thick black/green liquid. I have a non photo tank so I use a good amount. The large bottle lasts me 2 months give or take.
