I Have Iso and tes coming in the mail. How much f/2 per bottle (2L) ??

When sanitizing with bleach do you have to use the delcorinator ?? Or could you just rinse out the bleach and then do a rinse with vinigar water, Then re rinse with tap watter ?

Btw i have well water not city water.

And when doing my starter set should i ariate the bottle ?

Lastly should i have inline air filters ?

I always sanitized with boiling water in the microwave then let it cool to room temp. Bleach is very touchy and if you do not remove it all the way you toast. I also found that Pespi bottles would not grow phyto in them. Any other pop was fine. I had a filter on my main air line and pump.

Well i dont have a microwave large enuf so i have to do somthing else. I bleached some containers and im growning nano phyto so that was done right. After bleaching i soaked in declorinator. Then air dried.

I have experience, but it is with nanno, not the harder one in which it seems you are attempting, and if you are using well water,I'm guessing it is not a good idea.

Other then that, leave your container upside down and on a angle so they dry naturally, that way you don't get anything growing unwantedly, (not a word).

I have a rodi unit so it should be free of crud.

I bleach then 3-4 hrs later drain, rinse with tap water then declorinator.
Mabey i should rinse with rodi ?

I grow Nanno and Tetra at home. I rinse my bottles out with Rubbing Alcahol and then rinse 3 times with tap water. Havent had an issue yet. i too have some ISO G coming in the mail later this week. Its supposed to be tough. But I think liek anything, keeping the right conditions should make it easy. Temp, salinity, ph and fertilizer. I have been using Miracle Grow (yellow bottle) only because its local. Once i run out of that, i'll be buying some F/2 since its basically the same price and can do many many gallons of solution. I'm also going to get into brine shimp here soon too as i produce way more phyto than i need.

Hey regarding the brine. Ive found them to be Almost industructable. I have a 2 liter bottle that i thought was empty. Almost dried up and i used it to hold some water out of my water jug. Low and be hold there were brine in there !!! since then i did nothing and there reproducing.

I also have a 3 gallon bucket that they reproduce in. I only feed a little phyto when i remember.

Yeah, they seem to be as indestructable as bacteria from what i have read. Eggs can last years out of water, crazy. But as far as only feeding them when you remember, how often is that? Remember, brine is a good food source as long as they are well fed. What types do you feed them? Both nanno and tetra or just one?

I feed when the water gets clearer. Theres always food but when i remeber i add more to saturate the water. Durring this i also see an increese in breeding.

1ml of f/2 per 2L of culture.

With the bleach, only a few minutes of contact time is needed, followed by a rinse with dechlorinator.
