I've gotten pretty good at keeping phyto alive, so now I've got to much.

whats a good method for culturing phyto in a tank? Is it ok to use powerheads or hobs for circulation? Or should I stick with air.

Hiya Matt! You're going to be better off culturing your phytoplanking in more managable things such as bottles and jugs. This way you can feed it to your tank. If you attempt to culture phyto in your tank, it won't work. Things will eat it before it gets a chance to multiply. The best method for growing phytoplankton is to keep it rolling with air. You don't want to use any filters because they will take out what the phyto will use to grow.
