I am sorry about the "Azoo", I am a newbie to azooxanthellic and have the memory of a nat. <grin>
How long is briefly? Does frozen stuff break down as fast as liquid dead stuff? I've noticed NO3 spikes from feeding, up to 20ppm, then back to 0ppm over night.
I also am really questioning Kent's quality. If it works as advertized...or would I be better off looking at Brightwell. (Updated Kent?)
I've notice when I dose dead stuff pods seems to have population explosion. And sponges seem to take off.

Kent, Brightwell, Prodobio, etc., though they have some useful products, they all have their fair share of snakeoil. They put out products in hopes that they will sell, whether or not they're actually beneficial and work as advertised is of secondary concern. They're like the car salemen that not only try to take you for all you can on a car, but then try to take you for even more by selling you the "clear coat protectant" and an extended warranty. How well respected guys like Jack Kent, Chris Brightwell, Albert Thiel, and Marc Weiss are in the industry, in particular the science side of it, should speak volumes for the quality and need for their products. So you don't have to look it up, they're not...

I think I see. So, to clarify, they are NOT well respected by most anyone with a background in science, and therefore also NOT respected by many in the hobby who have done their research.
And this is because they are branding snake oil as "science".

Depends if you want live phyto or dead ones. Only known live phyto that stay alive are DT's, and are kept alive by refrigeration.

Tony Romano, there really isn't much that can be dosed at room temperature that won't spoil and just purely add to nitrates. You could dose phyto, but again, you have to know what is eating it that makes it worth adding them to your tank, and you'd have to keep a bubbler in the bottle of phyto, basically just like you were culturing them.
I'm using the brightwell microbac7 instead of zeobac with vodka dosing, and I'm not really seeing much results, and my cyano is starting to come back (it came in hardcore when I did just vodka, then the addition of the zeobac made it recede a lot, but now that I'm out of zeobac and I've gone to the cheaper brightwell microbac7, I'm noticing the cyano coming back again). I'm going to give the brightwell more time, but I'm not too happy right now. The only reason I tried it is after seeing SunnyX's tank, and he's like one of my reefing heroes because of his 2 awesome tanks that he's had (current and previous TOTM winner).
