I thought my ~24" mertens carpet was fairly fish safe. I guess I was wrong.
Two weeks ago it stung the rabbitfish pretty good. It caused some tissue and fin damage, but the rabbitfish had pretty much healed. Sometime yesterday or the night before the anemone finished the job.

Bummer!! I have a Foxface Rabbitfish too!! Thank goodness I only have a BTA!!! That really worried me!! I'm sorry for your loss...

i got a carppet a mounth ago.. and doing great,, in the tank there was 2 pairs mroon and perc,,

2 weeks ago,, i could not find the male perc.. and them this week i seen the carpet pooping out the female perc,,

Man, Foxface Rabbit's are one of my fav fishes. Sorry to hear about everyones troubles with carpets. Thanks to this thread, I definitely will NOT be getting a carpet anytime soon. They are beautiful, but no thanks. I'll stick with a RBTA or BTA for my clowns.
