I just called a LFs in the detroit area and they have a pair right now. I don't know if I'm allowed to tell the price they were asking though. They weren't cheap, lol.

I contacted ORA direct and they gave me 3 names. I called Oceans and seas and they said they were $300 for the pair.

who told you fish were 25% less wholesale? that is REALLY wrong! Try about 300% which is insane for a tank bred fish.

I got two on Friday. One of them had a bad gill (bent out). ORA usually doesn't ship the bad ones so I will be getting a new one on the LFs next order, which is usually every two weeks or so. I love the one I have and hope that the next one might be more special since they messed up on shipping the deformed one. Enjoy because I know I am.

Are these clowns a cross breed?

As far as I the original fish was an Onyx with Jigsaw pattern with extra white borders. Through selective breeding they have been putting out these Picassos. These are Perculas while the Snowflakes are Ocellaris.

Anyone chime in if I am wrong.

Yes, selective breeding off of interesting wild and bred fish from what I've seen. One of the supposed wild breeders from ORA came from the Los Angeles area...pic of it is here from Anthony's place. However, take it for what it's worth, because it is just his claim that this fish is at ORA in their breeding program, but it was a gorgeous clown! aquadesignz.com/hof.htm scroll to the bottom of the page.
