Picked up a new Eel today

Hello all. I picked up a new eel today. It's a small Gym. Millaris. I wanted the bright yellow variation with the black spots. I finally found one and got him. He's hanging out with the other two eels, a snowflake and Meletremus with no problem. In fact he follows the snowflake wherever it goes. Pictures don't do this guy justice. He's much more yellow than the picture shows. I only took a couple of quick pics. I'll try to get some better ones later. Regards, Tim

Thats cool!

Thats cool!

What is the street name for that and if you don't mind how much$

If I see one like that I would buy it, if it was priced right

thank you, Danny

it's about 12". I got some good pics of him feeding for the first time off of a feeding stick. In Scott's book Reef Fishes they say they may go on hunger strike when introduced. Well I'm happy to say this Millaris is a pig. Pics below Regards, Tim

That is really nice! Seems to have good appetite, and doesn't seem to shy. Looks like you got a real winner! Its making me envious. I want to try an eel eventually, but I'm afraid it would escape my tank. I can't do a glass top, due to heat reasons. I have a canopy, but it is open in the back and again I need it to be for the heat. Anyway; thats a very nice eel! Good luck with him!

No its the same size and when it matures the Millaris will gointo a 300. For now the Meletremus pushes the Millaris around. Regards, Tim
