Pico Owners: What are you feeding your Sexy Shrimp?

I want to add 1-3 Sexy Shrimp to my 2.5G pico. I am concerned that feeding them will cause unwanted food waste and undesireable parameters. I have made a point to choose corals that do not require targeted feeding for the same reason.

What are you feeding yours? Is it possible they could get by on a variety of algaes and copepods?

i have 3 in my bio cube 8. i feed them nothing, they wil not go for prepared food even if it falls in fronty of them. the do pick the rocks quite a bit

although the fact that they do not eat concerns me as i have witnessed them picking the crap outta my zoo's. i may just put a dottyback in there to take care of em!!

My wiife has a sexy shrimp in her NC 12 and it eats pelet or frozen.

i have 1 sexy in a 1 gal and he eats frozen formula one. i just drop a tiny piece in there and, he finds it and eats it. i actually just SAW him eat it the day before yesterday, but the food was always gone, so i assumed it was him.

OK i was wrong, yesterday i dropped some fod around the shrimp and they ate it. Only one who did not touch it was the smallest of the three. Thats a good thing! Oh and it was Hikari marine S sinking pellets

csc, see if the LFS will feed them for you, before you buy them. If they eat in the LFS, buy what they are feeding them and use that.

what kind of dotyback? i was looking at a bi color that was so mean he would come up and challenge your face when you looked at the tank closely

mine is a strawberry dotty back, he hastles my golby but no prob with the sexy shrimp least not yet.
