Where in ST john did you take these pictures, Trunk bay or somewhere else? Next time you go to St. John I would suggest you take a trip to the BVI and visit the Baths if you haven't ever been, truely amazing ( and the snorkeling is pretty good too)

We went to the Baths, very beautiful. Trunk bay is now one of the worst sites. The tourists have destroyed it. All day they stand up on the reef and you hear a guard calling with a megaphone to get off the reef. We hit 11 sites on our trip. The best ones required a hike and a fairly good swim to get to the best snorkeling. Water Lemon Cay was good, Salt Pond and Brown bay were good also. Maho Bay, Trunk Bay and Cinnamon Bay were no longer much for snorkeling, coral wise. Trunk does have a lot of friendly fish. We are going back in October and we will hit the mangroves.
