pics of my 180

Mouths look the same the mantels look pinched on the one the other one the mantels just dont extend like the should

Well then... I would suspect a fish picking at them. I can see at least 2 fish that are known for nipping, especially clams. Even if you never see them do it, or even if they were model citizens in a prevous tank. I have seen angels be peacefull for 6+ years without ever bothering anything, and then , all of a sudden, start picking at everything in the tank. Some of the pigmy angels are my favorite fish, but never in my reef. Also keep an eye on that algae blenny

before trying to remove them, I would watch them very very closely for awhile to see if they are infact picking.. They may not be.. Just a suspicion (that I feel pretty strongly about). I have been having the best luck catching fish with a glass beaker. I slowly corral/chase them into the glass jar that they cannot see, and after they go in, I cup the top with my hand..

I am not sure if they pick or not I watch my tank at least an hour a day (relaxes me)and have never seen them pick but who knows
also the potters came from the same tank as the clams if that matters
I may just remove the flame to see if that helps
also why does just the one looks real bad but the other the mantels just dont extend like they should
I have seen my lawnmower blenny lay on the clam but not nip and the clam doesnt close up
