i received a lot of advice when i changed my tank to BB so i thought i would share some pics. most of the SPS are frags so i expect it to look a little nicer in a year (hopefully sooner :) )

a few close ups of the SPS. some are in focus, some are not. my camera does not have a macro function so it takes about 40 shots before i get a good pic.

hey, thats the same tank i have! :) How much flow you have in there? I put an MJ 1200 in my tank yesterday, and it kicked up a lot of the sand... (used to have a minijet 606)

thanks for the compliments.

i have a pretty basic set up. about 25 pounds of Fiji LR. 10g sump with an ASM Mini G skimmer. i have a phosphate reactor and run Phosban, although i will eventually switch over to PHOSaR. i also run carbon in a media bag located in the sump.

lots of flow. i have a Mag 5 for my return, two MJ 1200s in the display and a MiniJet 404 which keeps the back of the tank pretty clean. (MrMex.... i have a BB tank so the sand is not an issue.)

right now i am using a Reeflux 12k, although my magnetic ballast burns the bulb a little whiter than i prefer.

sasscuba..... it is starboard. basically a cutting board that i had cut to fit my tank. i think it looks nicer than a glass bare bottom plus if adds protection in case i have a rock slide.

Looking good! How you liking BB so far?

i really like it. i certainly like the look of a sand bed better but my SPS have NEVER looked so good.

my purple digi is now BRIGHT purple, a shade i have never seen before.

my pink millie is coloring up more and more every day!!
