I do have a question for those of you that have an asm on a bb tank where do you set the outlet pipe to get the best efficiancy

How much was the total cost to make that sump (minus the protein skimmer)

I made the sump itself for like 50.00 dollars
got the 30 gallon tank used from lfs for 15.00
then got the acrylic dividers cut from local glass shop
and silacone from lowes

very cheap



also I can take out the filter tray in there if I want to add macro but not sure if I want to yet or not

anyone know where to set the drain on the asm to get the best efficiancy

Im going to do the gate valve mod but for now was wondering where to set it?
