its pretty big.guessing 8-9 in diameter.couldnt resist it was mis identified at a lfs.nice score for under 30 bucks!!

For H. magnific, you have it position about right, on top of the rock near the surface under the light with high current. I can't tell about the light level. Mine like it under 400 MH. 250W should be OK. Anything less may not be bright enough.
Good luck.

its about 2-3 inches from the surface and my light is about 8in up.i need new lights soon.i would like 14 k but if it will be happier under 10k that is what ill keep.any thoughts??thanks

10K bulb would be better IMO. H magnifica are high in the reef and get expose to full sunlight (5500-6000 Kevin). I had mine under 6500K and he did great. I think you have 175 W MH. IMO, you should use 6500K bulb. It may not look as beautiful as 10000K or 14000K but should put out more usable light for the anemone. Good luck

thanks i gotta update that info i got 3x 250.most people i spoke with agreed the 10k would be better then 14 k.there are a couple guys in my local club with sps tanks that use 6500 and have incredible growth
