That could be the best looking custom installation job I have ever seen. That is absolutely beautiful. Did you do it yourself? Perfect size too, not too big and small enough so that maintenance is not a nightmare. I love your tank : )
Wow, thanks for the compliment.
I had it designed during a full home reconstruction.
The inital install was done by an LFS, but they really did nothing but an awful job. The walls and setup were built by my contractor, and this specific LFS was the only one that would quote me for a 24x24x36(h) tank.
After it was initially installed i had a friend offer the number of his tank caretaker... who is an RC member.
After he got done w/ it, the only original parts were the tank and some of the piping... everything else was redone.
About 8 months ago I got the news my caretaker was leaving the biz... so now i do it myself.
Only problem from a caretaking point of view is that it is 36" deep, so its not easy to get down to the bottom, and there is alot of LR which i try not to touch, since its in quite the pile!
If it keeps going well, i may redo the area, and make it a 36w, and 24-30high. There is a bench seating area/nook behind the tank that you can't see, so w/ a longer tank it would partially enclose that.
Whats nice is the tank is between the sitting area and kitchen. So it can be seen from that entire side of the house.
Also, as you go up the steps(3) to the french doors, my bedroom is behind that, so w/ those doors open, i can see the tank from my bed.
