gorgeous. Really under-rated species. Been wanting a few myself.

I totally agree with you. These go really well in smaller tanks due to their relatively small size. I believe their maximum size is somewhere around 7" to 8" but most stay around 6". Very low maintenance and the colors on some of these nems are amazing.

My anemones look a lot better in person. These pictures don't do them justice.

Awesome anemones! I've been thinking about getting several of the real nice ones, like above, and setting up a breeding tank. If I only had more time and money. LOL

Nice one! Did you put it there or did it move on its own? Mine have stayed where I initially placed them. Two are at mid level right under the light and the other one is on the sand.

He was moving around the sand bed and so I placed his foot under this rock and he has stayed there for a while. If only these guys split! I'm picking up a sexy shrimp this weekend so I'll let you know!

I have been told these anemones don't split. If you want to propagate them then you need two of them. One has to be a male and the other one a female. There is a guy that was able to breed them in his tank.

Anybody else has rock anemones?
I would like to see what other colors are out there.

Very nice ones. I have one of the red ones too, I especially like that color morph. Mine spawn once in a while and I just found a baby the other day. It's the only baby I can see in the tank. Here is a pic of mine:

Wow, those are wicked. I can see 5 anemones in the pic. Did you add them all at the same time? How long have you had them?

I picked up the first one right after Christmas and the other 2 only a week ago.

How big are they? Mine are about 4". I am leaving some space around them in case they grow a bit more. This way they will not sting anything. Do you find that they move a lot of do they stay put for the most part?

the largest are 7 inches or so across. I have one smaller one that's about 2 inches across and I just found a baby that's about 1/2 inch in diameter.

You can see my large green one in this video. I need to get it some friends.
