Heres a few random pics of my tank. I don't think i've posted pics in a long time! So this is open for criticizm. Nobody has seen my tank yet really... obviously i need more corals
yea i refinished the stand and canopy. it was a really light wood and it didn't go with the furniture in the room, now it matches exactly with all the wood!
I'm running 4x65w pc's mounted to the inside of the canopy. I'll be adding 2x65 to that 4x65 today hopefully and remounting all the ballasts. By tonight i'll have 410w but i'll need new bulbs to really claim that much wattage
i hope so, i can't get anything to get bigger! i'm dosing with calcium, i can't accurately test my ph or anything since i dont have any test kits and my hydrometer is junk. says its at 1.019 but its that deep 6 one that i know is very off....
i'm also dosing vitamins and minerals and what not. anything else i should be doing?
also i think i'm going to pick up some calurpa today for my sump.
That Stain looks great on the Stand/Canopy Steve, I'm glad it's being used. The Tank looks great. I have a very large leather coral that you are welcome too, and will look good in the middle of those rock formations.

yea i am eternally greatful for all your donations to me i'd love to have a large coral in my tank! it would be a nice change up!
btw, the overflow is working great and i used one of my 10 gallons for the sump. i'm going to rerun some piping today and clean it up a bit. when do you have some free time? i get out of school today at 2 and i'll be going down to ozark. i'll need to go back up to springfield at around 5 to go to a speech at the Gillioz Theater for my class. Let me know if today would work sometime.
also, are there any signs that would be obvious of that montipora growing? one of the pieces i got has a slightly lighter/white edge on it and i was assuming its growing, but i may be wrong.
The monti's do generally have a white edge, purple-ish under actinic lighting, and grow fairly quickly.
I won't have any time today, tomorrow night after I close at 6 pm would be better.
I have a small tube I found that goes with that overflow, it inserts down the middle where the sponge fits and decreases any gurgling noises, I'm sure you will want that too.
The tank looks great, a little different from when I was over there. Is that still your 55gal? I like the rock work and stand. Wish mine looked like that, but still taking things slow.
Looks very good. My only suggestion is get a background of somekind on it asap. You will be surprised how much it will improve your tank. It also does a good job of holding light in.
today i added the other 2 65w pc's. now i'm rockin all 410watts! its a lot brighter than it was for sure! i went ahead and organized and extended all the wires for all 6 ballasts and ziptied and wireloomed them all. each set of lights is on digital timers individually so it gradually gets brighter then gradually gets darker. i have my moon lights that i still haven't mounted yet, but eventually they will be on there too!
also, i have the background sitting next to the tank as i'm typing this. i had an extra one in the closet. i didn't want to put one on until i got everything done. i'll be putting it on tomorrow definately. i'll have free time after school yay
