Are you going to use a loc line or anything coming out of the bulkhead? A mag9 takes a .75" hose right? You could get a 6" piece of locline with a 1x.75 reducer bushing and just slightly arch it upwards so it breaks the imaginary line of the bottom of the teeth in your overflow..
If that isn't feasible just make sure your sump can handle the extra volume of water it is going to take to break the siphon...
SOme people will cut in a check valve on teh return but they are not foolproof.. I would rather not risk a mechanical failure and flood my living room...
