i guess ive never seen the underside of an h. malu anemone before, but it looks strikingly familiar to all the hundreds of heteractis crispas ive seen. so a starved puple h. crispa would be my identification.
 
thanks slakker for the info and yeah i didnt want a h.crispa at first.but not because of how rare it's or not.i was more concern about the husbandry with it.but somebody pointed out to me that haddoni's and gigantea are harder to maintain.
 
I agree with H. Crispa. Looks a bit bleached, but with proper lighting and feeding should come back nicely. GL!
 
Also, H. Crispa likes a firm surface to adhere to so you might want to move it onto a rock. I have mine on one and it has been in the same place since I placed it in the tank.
