some of mine.

Mark- that's a cool color variant of P. Squamipinnis, do you know where it was collected?

okay, i PM'ed jacob and asked, waiting for reply. some have said dispars, and you are the second to say carberryi.

I own some carberryi...those are carberryi...gorgeous ones at that. If nothing else, the telltale sign is the lower caudal fin on the one above right of the Achilles.

gotcha..... i think i see a few in your Reef June 2010 youtube clip.

i just tried looking up descriptions of carberryi's on LA and other online sources. it seems like a lot of the carberryi has purple and yellow on them. the ones in the picture above is nearly all faint orange/peach in color. i really like the ones in the picture above. i think i've seen them at my LFS before.

comments? i dont know much or anything about anthias.... just trying to do some research.

Carberryi come in a couple morphs...some look like dispar..some like Bartlett

Ha! I just found the thread. I knew my ears were ringing earlier :)

Yes, they are N. carberryi. Great anthias. They stay relatively small and in my case have proved to be hardy fish that eat very well. I ordered a total of 23 from Live Aquaria (two separate orders) and only lost one fish.

Mine look very much like the LA photo in the post directly above. For some reason I have a hard time photographing them and getting their color to show. One of mine is the aplha/super male and his pink head is very pronounced... but nothing compared to how these fish look fresh from the ocean. They come in neon pink and bright yellow, the females in particular have a very defined yellow/pink split. The males are more blended looking. Still great fish. I have some more photos of mine here.

This page has a photo that shows their stronger color in the wild. Unfortunately I haven't been able to maintain or get this back in captivity.

BTW, nice anthias everyone! I especially like the less popular Olive anthias, I have always wanted a few of them but they're hard to come by.

I may add a trio of Bimac's one day. I'd also like to try my hand at the Tuka's, and yes, I'm aware of the challenges :)
