Picture of my Zoo/Paly Collection

nice tank. are those the tubs blue on the top? i wish mine would grow out that big soon.

whats that green frag on the right hand side in the middle. i like that lime green color.

yes, it's the tub's blue colony. It grows really fast. You'll get a big colony soon. The green one is the blue alien eye zoo. It's really nice and a fast grower as well. From my experience, blast them with intense light then you will have nice color and good growth. But don't forget to feed them as well. Good Luck:)

Damm another addition to my problems Tai.... ZoaPox...Got a couple of colonies in QT now and been doing Furan2 dips now.... crap... when it rains, it falls.

Hey Charles

The rain will stop and the sun will shine. Keeps your head up and eradicate them all. Bring it on, Charles will deal with it:)
I hope that your tank will be back to normal soon. You should keep track of what you do to get rid of it so that others can seek your advises later on.

OH... Dang.. thats going to be the size of a dictionary

And I don't wish anyone even my worst reefer enemy that...

AWESOME!!!

love these guys... :)

I'm glad they're doing very well for you.. keep 'em growing... :D

MarvinsReef,

I am a big fan of you. You do have a very nice collection of zoo/paly. In your opinion, what's your top 10 zoo/paly? Do you have Envy Orange Paly?

Awesome collection! Looks great. I'm a big zoaa/paly fan myself. Trying to start up a nice collection. I see you are semi local to me. Would you consider selling some frags or doing some trades? I'll send you a PM =)

may i ask your feeding regiment for your zoo's? and would you say your actinics are crucial for the bright colors? thanx:)

I spot feed my corals with brine shrimp, DT, Coral Chille, and cyclopeeze every other day. I also turned off my protein skimmer and my return pump for about 15 min while I am feeding the corals. I think the actinics do give coral with some color but I don't know how crucial it is. From my experience, one thing for sure is that zoo/paly love strong light and medium flow.

good to know live brine shrimp? or is there a smaller particle freeze dried or frozen version? whats DT? srry for the dumb questions im still quite the newbie and i wish to have a reef as nice as your some day :)

Just the frozen brine shrimp. DT is a live phytoplankton. Don't worry, your tank will be as nice or even better in 1 year. How big is your tank. What kind of fishes that you like? Remember, do your research on the fish before you add it to your aquarium or else it's hell to catch them out. Remember to dip all your corals too. Good luck

Hi.. I'm so so sorry for replying late... been busy the past couple of days... :)

anyway, thanks for the kind word...

I don't have the Ency Orange PE and to be honest with you, I'm not really a big fan of it as I think there's some other zoas or corals that are way nicer that the Envy Orange PE.. I will however going to try to acquire one of these sooner or later just to see what the fuss is all about 'em... :)

well, here's my top 10 zoas atm...

1. PPE
2. Nuclear Green
3. PPRPE
4. Red Wines
5. True Armageddon
6. Purple Death
7. Candy Apple Redds
8. Pink Zippers
9. True GPE
10. True AoG

there are so many other morphs that look amazing... I've spent the last several months trying to narrow down my collection to less than 40 and I'm finally able to make progress... LoLz...

happy reefin' to you all... :)

Is red wines the same as Ruby Red? I like Pink Zippers alot. Do you have it? You have to check out Rockstart Supernova. It looks big and beautiful in person.

very nice tank!
I noticed that you have a VERY HEAVY fish load for a 40gl tank, I was just going off of your profile.
What size sump do you have and what skimmer are you using? Great looking tank!
I would love to know more about the system set up.
