Pictures - 800 gallon reef - 7+ years in operation

Everytime I get a email notification of this thread I'm thinking "HCRK is back!", but no, it's Sansui again. I bet 37 of your 38 posts are bumping this thread. LOL

Wow, 34 pages of thread, of which approximately 32 are pretty much usless. The tank itself is certainly amazing. I'd sure like to give something similar a try some day. Thanks for a bit of something to aspire to.

You know what is interesting....how many people that posted in this thread that are now "Moved On." I think I counted over 10. Anyway, your tank is amazing but you promised us some new pictures years ago. Please don't forget us!!

.....

I recently accessed this thread and noted that it still remains quite active - even though 5 full years have now passed since my very first posting.

As the 5th anniversary of this thread is actually coming up tomorrow and as a film crew was at our home last week filming an episode for Discovery Channel (which provided an opportunity for me to take a few pictures), I thought that this would be an excellent opportunity to post some fresh pictures of my now nearly 13 year old reef.

As the pictures indicate the reef continues to evolve and, on the whole, is doing quite well. Some inhabitants have passed on. However many remain and have matured and grown. There have also been a number of additions.

Comments and questions are certainly welcome.

WOW....an update finally!! Seems like forever but it was well worth the wait. Really an honor to see updates :)

When will it b air on Discovery Channel??

Wow! That is so cool!!!

Do you have any idea when the episode will air in the U.S.?

Thanks so much for the exciting update and congratulations on having your personal reef aquarium selected for a Discovery Channel episode.

:D

This is still on of my favorite threads. Congrats on the Discovery Channel, and we must know when it is going to air on TV

So his secret to a successful long lived tank is alot of softies. This is a great tank and I wish that the update that we were waiting years for would have been a few more pics, maybe more of the equipment

Thank you for the update. I too would like to see the airing on Discovery Channel, so please do give us some notice when you know it will air.

When I first saw that picture of the interview, I thought it was Katie Holmes. :inlove:
