Pictures from Elliot's tank

I went to take some pictures of Elliot's tank today. This was more difficult than I expected due to several factors. He has some ambient lighting in the room during the time of day I was there and it causes some reflections in the acrylic. Most of the pictures are cropped for this reason, and also due to a piece of filter film he was holding over the lens. It was red and caused the white balance look a little better on the camera viewing screen. I found during processing that I had to change the tint a little towards green to make the colors like I remember them. All pumps we running as I was told that last time he turned them off, he received calls from the CA seismic station. Apparently that volume of water affects more than just AZ. I'm looking forward to a repeat session after the sun has set and better late afternoon viewing with the lights. Any second Zibba will post asking if these were taken with a cell phone. Anyway the tank is amazing and these pictures will do absolutely no justice to it. Thanks again Elliot for hosting me. JP

Pearlberry - I may chop mine up and dispose of it after seeing his. One of my all time favorite Acros. Stunning.

The photos do look amazing and the corals look amazing as well. I hope to have a nice looking successful full reef tank one day. I know it takes time :)

JP, I kept wondering why your photos were so blurry, then I realize that you most likely dropped your camera in Elliott's ocean. It's easy to do but I'm sorry for the loss; I know those fancy shmancy camera lenses aren't cheap.

j/k, beautiful photos as always!

Elliott, happy to see things are doing so well. You're tank continues to inspire.

Beautiful pictures and beautiful subjects, all of them look to be in the best health possible, truly amazing.

How long has your tank been up and running?

Great pics. I don't think you can take a bad pic in his tank :)
You could spend hours sitting in front of the tank and still not see everything.

it's difficult to get a good FTS due to glare from surrounding windows, the video link below does have some FTS's at the end, these were taken by Eric a while ago, left side of tank...

The illusive acan lobos... twice! :p

Cars eh? :smokin:

Lithophyllon

Impaired or not, great photos. :wildone:

WOW, hadn't even been drinking, but probably had a sugar high from a cookie I was given while there. Maybe there was something else in it?
Spell check sometime gets me but I should have caught those. Why didn't you catch me misspelling his name?
Hopefully everyone knows what I meant.

Forgot to attach one photo. You know the acros are happy when they grow out of the water and start their own islands.

Would someone hand me a napkin? I am drooling looking at these photos!!!
They are amazing... It looks like corals like your tank better!

acro island, sounds like a place Id like to go =)

Always find it cool to see how they react to hitting the water surface.
