Pictures from Georgia aquarium

Ned and I were down at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta last week for a little get-away before baby gets here and had a great time :) The corals they have really need to grow........ I think in the coral reef display they said about 60% are real and 40% fake and the sps they had looked like it could use some help imo. However, the fish in the display were just breathtaking, for one, the sheer numbers and varieties, and two it was like actually seeing them in their natural environment. I think they said they had 1500 fish in the coral reef display, and I forget the number of varieties, but it was up there too.

Please excuse some of the photos, as we all know how hard it is to get a good picture of an active fish :) Also, the water wasn't as clear as it normally might be because the diver you see in one of the pictures was dusting off the corals and re-arranging corals....... can you imagine having a tank big enough that you need to put on your wetsuit to arrange your corals?!

Garden eels, these things were really neat....... they would go in the sand, then pop up simutaneously, and there were tons of them, all different colors.

They must not have any tang police down there :D... Nice pictures Fawn, I'm really impressed on your jellyfish pictures, those tanks are so dimly lit it's nearly impossible to get an exposure.
