NOAA Proposes Listing 66 Reef-building Coral Species
under the Endangered Species Act

NOAA Fisheries is proposing Endangered Species Act (ESA) listings for 66 coral species: 59 in the Pacific and 7 in the Caribbean.

· In the Pacific, 7 species are proposed as endangered and 52 as threatened.

· In the Caribbean, 5 are proposed as endangered and 2 as threatened.

In addition, we are proposing that 2 Caribbean species—elkhorn and staghorn corals—already listed under the ESA be reclassified from threatened to endangered.

All of these species are now considered "Proposed Species" under the ESA.

We will make a final determination as to whether any of the species warrant listing as threatened or endangered by November 30, 2013.

Now you are mixing up BANNED with PROPOSED BANS.... I'd suggest backing up and figuring out what your intentions are with this thread given you're all over the place.

Some info on what ESA means...

Protection
The ESA protects endangered and
threatened species and their habitats by
prohibiting the “take” of listed animals
and the interstate or international trade in
listed plants and animals, including their
parts and products, except under Federal
permit. Such permits generally are
available for conservation and scientific
purposes.

its all from the pdf link posted of the listed species. Online interstate sales might pose legal problems if the species is very similiar to any on the list. With acros and others it would be pretty hard to tell what species your actually buying.

This is new legal ground for online vendors.
