Jerry W -- He is in my 75. Borderline on being to small, but for now the blue face is still about 3.5 inches long.

Eddie Cruz --- Thanks. That sucks about your tank, sorry about that. Its been about 9 that I've had him. So far the only coral that he likes to eat are zoas. Other than that he hasn't touched any of my SPS.

Black71gp --- Got lucky, the Diver's Den section of LA had him. When I saw that it was a full juvi had to get it. Been fun watching the color change.


EDIT -- ccampbell57, wow, yours is great looking. Great wait for mine to get full colors. So far mine is growing fairly slowly -- which is fine with me. Give me more time to save up for a bigger tank.

I finally found a juvi my self..!!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!! put him in the tank and my emp was being a meany head.. so he is in the sump. I will wait a few months for the Blueface to get used to the tank and put the emp back in....

And expect your juvi to hide for a while, even with the emp out of the tank, mine was skittish for a while.

Fantastic job!!! I have a juvi X-mas Island Emperor that is just starting to change. I think the NLS is a big reason why he is changing so fast. Also he's changing at a smaller size than most Emperor's do. My only concern is that he won't be as vibrant as an adult caught Emperor. Here's a couple of pics of the hem. Regards, Tim

great thread. the blueface is my favorite angel. i'm trying to talk my wife into letting me get a large fo tank just so i can get one. i am also to the point of breaking her because she wants an eel.

Enjoy it while it lasts. My blue face was once that size and is now about 11" long. Recently he has become aggressive and I now need to think about selling him. Any members in the NYC/Long Island area with a very large tank want a 12" blue face?

No you don't. If you were closer, I would bring him over. Be forewarned: it will be that big in 3 years. Just feed it plenty of Angel Formula and algae sheets. Be careful what you wish for.

It has been a long time since I have taken new pictures (( about 6 months )). Blue face is doing great, still eats like a pig and its color is looking great. These pictures don't do it justice.

My flame angel decided to get in on the fun.

Was about to go behind the rocks -- think the flash from the camera was starting to annoy him.

Fathead anthias was wondering what all the hub bub was about.

And a couple of just fathead.
