Pink dust in refugium?

Hello,

I have just recently set up my refugium and now have a nice pink dusting over the entire bottom on the sand.

is it maybe cyano? Also, I do leave the fuge light on 24/7 could this be the problem? Any dangers here?

Is this a new tank set-up?
If not, do you have cyno in your display?
What are your water readings?
More than likely just diatom which should subside on its own.

this is a relatively new set up.

no cyano in the display.

readings all in range with 5 in1 test strip. for what thats worth.

What are diatoms?
