pink macroalgae question

Anyone else have pink macro growing on their TBS rock? It looks nice, but the stuff is really difficult to pick and spreads quickly. I'm trying to avoid having to pull and cook the rock that it's on. I'm also limited in having such a small tank--am maxed-out with 3 fish, none of which are grazers. Obviously, the dwarf blue legs and snails which came in the package don't touch the stuff.

Any advice would be really appreciated!

I would never 'cook' any TBS rock. I would try just manually removing it and keeping an eye on lowering the nutrients that makes it flourish. I have also seen the large Mexican Turbo snails mow through that stuff.

I can't pick this stuff. Not like the caulerpas, which are childsplay in comparison. I do regular water changes, but am also trying to feed minimally at this point. I'm also gonna get a few turbos. If this doesn't help, I'll take your other advice and not cook it. I'll just throw it in the garbage.

I tried to upload a photo, but too many kbs, and I can't figure out right now how to condense the file so it can be uploaded here.

Anyway, the stuff grows in light pink branches, which are slippery to the touch, and actually leave a sheen of oil on your fingers after handling. Just hard to get a grip on the stuff, and breaks off above the root, as the branches are pretty tender. I can try to scour the rock i guess, but it'd make a mess and i've to make sure to syphon up the pieces cause the stuff spreads quickly.

Thanks for your help.
