Pink n' Blue Spot loves his new home!!!

I got this fuzzy mushroom rock from Exotic Tropicals about 2 weeks ago and ever since my pink n' blue spot has claimed it as his own!

I lost 3 of the mushrooms for some reason. They looked like they spit out thier guts, and the next day they disolved into nothing. This happened about a week after they were in the tank, and looked great before that. Kinda upsetting, as the rock was expensive for just shrooms, but I guess it happens though.

The pics are as of now with the 3 big shrooms gone.

Mine won't leave the bottom but will pull in hermit and nassarius snails into his den to line it.

Yea mine does that too, but they just crawl out after he is done with them. I can get mine to swim up at least half a tank for nori. And he was so skitish when I first got him that I didn't see him for over a month, then he just showed up....lots of places to hide with 250lbs of LR.

That big leather coral next to the mushrooms is likely the culprit of the three that died.

Leathers can shed their outer layer and it lands on another coral bad things can happen. Just a thought.

My pink n' blue spot has never been shy. He will kick anybodys butt if the try to come near his "den".

I wouldn't say he's aggressive, just a little protective of his home =)

Really? I'd take em in a second!

I love em, and since I can't have an anemone because I don't have a halide, it's the closest thing I can get for my clowns.

Was a good plan till my pink n' blue took up residence in them!

Huhhhhh, the shrooms touching the leather seem fine, and it was the ones on the other side of the leather that died on me.

I'll keep an eye out on that leather though.

when my shrooms split it looks like that, ive lost a few during a split too so im thinking it was just a failed fision
