Pink Skunk Clown - Egg Question?

Hi All,

Just noticed a bunch of what I am wondering are eggs by my pair of pink skunk clowns. The pair is large female 4", male 3". They host to a sebae anemone. The "nest" is a clump about 2" square that has a bunch of white oblong items....eggs? The male and female both go up to the clump and blow water on them...cleaning them? They also will fan them with their pectoral fins. The clump is right next to their anemone. I will try to post a pic if I can get one. The only clownfish eggs I have seen was from a pair of percs and where orange in coloration.

Thanks,
Scott

The Eggs become silverish after about 8 days I think, which is a sign that they are about to hatch. Sounds like you have eggs to me.

Hi All,

Well they were obviously eggs, they turned grey/silver then a few days later developed eyes then a day or so later hatched out and never saw again...I imagine they went into the filters.

Do not have larvae or anything to attempt to raise them.

Hopefully they will do it again, very interesting to see.

Scott
