Pink Skunk Host

I am looking into getting a pair of pink skunk clowns. Do they prefer anemones with shorter tentacles or longer ones? Im asking because i was thinking about getting hairy shrooms to go with them, but wanted to make sure they would take to them?

BTW the clowns are tank bred

Its is harder to get a clown to host a coral. Even though there are cases where the Clown will host a coral rather than an anemone in the same tank.

Anyway these Anemones are the ones that Skunks host in the wild.

HTH

Heteractis crispa
Heteractis magnifica
Heteractis malu <-Hard to take care of IME.
Macrodactyla doreensis
Stichodactyla mertensii

Thats all I can list off the top of my head?

I have seen one in a GBTA at th LFS. MyF1sh R, that picture makes me sick to my stomache. Anyway looking forward to shutting him down next time out in Dallas. It was his 666th game. Does that tell you anything. No offence, all in good fun

i agree with my f1sh r d34d, except H. malu is usually only host to juvenille clowns, i would try a M. Doreensis. They are the easiets out of the anemones listed. Plus, seeing clowns host in corals just looks weird. Good luck with it.

this is going to be going into my first tank so im not sure if i want to try a nem, the tank is only 20g anyway. i may attempt a petco rescue of an h crispa, but other than that im not getting a nem.

by the way, will the two clowns be peacefull towards each other? im asking because i am keeping a pair of cichlids and cant stand too see another fish being beat on =(
