I started getting this pink slime floating in my sump and I would siphon it out with my turkey baster what I didn't realize was how much until I decided to clean my skimmer. I could have easily filled a quart jug with this stuff. I can't figure out if it is a bacterial bloom caused from my vodka dosing or if it was caused from these little slimy sea weed looking things growing on the plastic of skimmer and egg crate. I removed all the sea weed things and do you think a UV Sterilizer would help. Has anyone had or heard of this type of slime before. I hope it isn't Dino's since there is no bubbles and it isn't in my display tank just the sump.
